In this dynamic contract position, you’ll serve students near Cleveland, OH, helping them build the foundational skills needed for success in the classroom and beyond.
As a key member of the educational team, you’ll collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to identify and address a range of developmental, sensory, and physical challenges. Your expertise will play an essential role in fostering student growth and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations for students referred for occupational therapy services.
- Create individualized treatment plans and set measurable IEP goals.
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy in accordance with students’ IEPs.
- Collaborate closely with special education staff, school psychologists, speech-language pathologists, and families.
- Suggest appropriate classroom accommodations, adaptive equipment, and environmental modifications.
- Maintain timely documentation, progress reports, and Medicaid billing as needed.
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.
- Track student progress consistently, adjusting interventions as necessary.
- Educate staff and families with practical strategies to maximize student success.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy
- Valid Ohio OT license and NBCOT certification
- School or pediatric experience (preferred, not required)
- Excellent organization, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
