Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active OT licensure in Tennessee (or willingness to obtain before start date)
- Prior experience providing OT services in a school environment strongly preferred
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with students, families, and multidisciplinary school teams
- Ability to develop and implement effective individualized treatment plans
- Adaptable and proactive approach in meeting diverse student needs
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of students’ functional abilities and needs
- Develop, document, and implement individualized intervention plans targeting developmental, sensory, and motor skills for improved participation in academic activities
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success and integrate OT strategies into classroom routines
- Maintain detailed and compliant documentation in accordance with district and professional standards
- Attend relevant meetings, contribute to IEP development, and provide consultative services as needed
- Educate and mentor staff on OT best practices and accommodations for students
