Deliver essential occupational therapy services in a dynamic school environment near Coos Bay, OR on a contract basis. You'll work alongside dedicated educators and support staff, providing high-quality interventions that help students develop the skills necessary for success in the classroom and everyday life. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in fostering students’ independence and overall well-being.
What We’re Looking For:
- A master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active state licensure or eligibility to practice Occupational Therapy in Oregon
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy strongly preferred
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to partner effectively with teachers, families, and support teams
- Familiarity with developing, implementing, and tracking IEP goals
- Ability to adapt strategies and interventions to meet unique student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students’ abilities and needs to plan individualized therapy interventions within the school setting
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services as required by IEPs and 504 plans
- Document progress, maintain compliance with special education procedures, and contribute to eligibility assessments
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support students’ educational goals
- Prepare and share progress reports to ensure clear communication with faculty and student families
- Provide guidance and education to classroom staff on accommodations and strategies
