Occupational Therapist School Setting in Corona, CA
Exciting opportunities are available for two skilled Occupational Therapists passionate about supporting students from ages 3 to 22. These contract positions offer the chance to make a meaningful impact across a range of K-12 settings, providing services to students with mild to severe needs. One position is for a full-time, full school year role, and the other covers a maternity leave expected from August through March.
The ideal candidates will have experience navigating large, dynamic caseloads where assessment and consultation needs may fluctuate. You will work in an itinerant capacity, providing therapy across various campuses, and will have the autonomy to manage your own schedule to best meet district and student needs.
Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Active and current California Occupational Therapy license required
- Prior experience working in California schools is essential
- Skilled in administering the BOT-3 and Peabody to students ages 3–22 with multiple disabilities
- Strong data-driven communication skills to address parent concerns and support service recommendations
- Comfortable with fluctuating caseloads and no cap on number of students
- Ability to independently manage scheduling and work in the field without direct supervision
- Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus, though not required
- Experience with a range of mild to severe student needs in K-12 settings
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, direct intervention, and consultation services across school sites
- Collaboratively respond to changing caseloads and student needs
- Effectively communicate findings and recommendations to students, families, and staff
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold compliance standards
- Design and adjust individual schedules to align with district priorities
