What we’re seeking:
- California Occupational Therapist license (active and in good standing)
- Previous experience in a school setting or working with children and adolescents
- Knowledge of IEPs, progress monitoring, and school-based therapy documentation
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with teachers, families, and a COTA
- Adaptability and enthusiasm for supporting a diverse range of student needs
- Commitment to fostering students’ functional independence in the academic environment
Key responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative OT services to students as outlined in IEPs
- Assess students’ functional performance and contribute to evaluation reports
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans and intervention strategies
- Collaborate with educational staff and families to support student success
- Document progress and maintain thorough records in accordance with school policies
- Supervise and mentor the COTA assigned to your caseload
- Participate in meetings, contribute insight, and support compliance with special education requirements
