Occupational Therapist School Setting - Corona, CA
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a School Occupational Therapist. This full-time position, located near Corona, California, offers the chance to work closely with students and school staff during a leave of absence period, starting as soon as possible and continuing through December 1st. Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in California
- Previous experience in a school-based OT setting preferred
- Strong communication skills for engaging with students, educators, and families
- Ability to design and implement individualized therapy interventions in accordance with students’ IEPs
- Team-oriented mindset with a passion for providing inclusive support
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ needs and collaborate with educators to develop effective intervention plans
- Deliver individual and group occupational therapy services within school settings
- Maintain thorough records and progress notes, supporting documentation needs for IEP meetings
- Offer recommendations and strategies to teachers and families that promote student success and independence
- Adapt sessions and interventions to both virtual and in-person formats as needed
This contract position provides 40 hours per week, offering you the consistency of a full-time schedule while making a difference during a vital leave of absence period.
