Working primarily at the elementary level, you’ll cover a leave of absence for an OT on medical leave, ensuring continuity of care for students in the midst of upcoming administrative transitions.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy required
- Active California Occupational Therapy license
- Previous experience working in school settings as an Occupational Therapist
- Comfortable working on-site in an educational environment
- Strong communication skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to adapt quickly and take initiative independently
- Open to full-time (5 days/week) or part-time schedules
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to elementary-aged students based on IEP goals
- Assess and document student progress, maintaining accurate records
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and school staff to support academic and functional success
- Engage families in the therapy process, sharing strategies to promote skill development at home
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Support students through therapeutic interventions that aid classroom participation and daily living skills
