Key Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services to students in accordance with their IEPs and individual needs.
- Support students in developing fine motor, sensory, visual-motor, self-care, and functional skills.
- Conduct assessments and contribute to evaluations, as appropriate to the role and scope of practice.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans and measurable goals.
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions based on individual needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, families, and related service providers to support student success.
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure services are delivered in compliance with school and state requirements.
Qualifications Occupational Therapist
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Active Virginia Occupational Therapy license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred.
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Active Virginia COTA license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred.
