Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license
- Demonstrated experience in school-based OT, home health OT, and general OT in healthcare settings
- Knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs) and the ability to collaborate with school teams
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques to fit both in-school and home environments
- Up-to-date on all required vaccinations, with full COVID-19 vaccination status required
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Empathy, patience, and a student-centered mindset
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct a one-hour occupational therapy session per week tailored to the specific needs of an immunocompromised student
- Assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans based on student goals
- Collaborate with educators, family members, and other specialists to ensure continuum of care
- Accurately maintain documentation of sessions and student progress
- Provide training and resources to families and educational teams for supportive carryover in daily routines
- Maintain strict adherence to safety and infection control protocols
