School Occupational Therapist | Danbury, Connecticut

This position covers a diverse caseload of students across K-12th grade, split between two campuses with a range of needs. Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Current, active Connecticut Occupational Therapist (OT) license (required).
- Experience or familiarity with working in school-based settings.
- Confidence supporting students with a range of exceptionalities, including ED, ASD, ADHD, ODD, and learning disabilities.
- Ability to adapt OT strategies for various age groups and learning needs.
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
- Compassion, patience, and commitment to promoting student independence.
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative OT services to students in grades K-12.
- Assess and evaluate students’ occupational therapy needs, developing individualized intervention plans.
- Collaborate with other educational professionals and families to support students’ IEP goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports according to school/district guidelines.
- Travel between two campuses as scheduled.
- Participate actively in team meetings and contribute to a positive, student-centered environment.
