Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Michigan (MI OT License required)
- Previous experience working as a school-based Occupational Therapist preferred
- Strong understanding of pediatric and adolescent therapy needs
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students’ therapy needs
- Develop and execute targeted intervention plans for students in K–12
- Collaborate with educators and other therapists to ensure cohesive support
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records aligned with school and legal requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing professional insight and recommendations
- Provide direct and consultative therapy services within the school environment
