We're seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist or School Social Worker to provide essential services across two elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school near Dearborn, MI. This contract position is structured for three days each week, allowing you to engage with a planned caseload of approximately 25 to 30 students.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist or Social Worker in the state of Michigan
- Previous experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and families
- Proficient in managing diverse student needs across varied age groups
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect services to students as outlined in individual education plans (IEPs)
- Work across four campuses, providing interventions, progress monitoring, and documentation
- Partner with teachers and administrators to support student social, emotional, and academic development
- Develop tailored strategies to foster student participation and success
- Schedule sessions mindful of each school's hours: elementaries (8:45 AM–3:37 PM), middle school (7:55 AM–2:48 PM), and high school (7:10 AM–2:04 PM)
- Maintain clear records and ongoing communication with families regarding student progress
