Step into a rewarding contract opportunity working as a school-based Occupational Therapist in the vibrant Derry, NH area for the 2026–2027 academic year. This full-time role supports students across elementary and high school settings, working with caseloads of 30–40 students at two schools. The assignment runs from ASAP 2026 through June 2027, offering a chance to make a significant impact on K–12 learners.
You’ll collaborate with a dedicated educational team, using your expertise to promote student success and engagement throughout their school day. Adaptability, a commitment to inclusive education, and strong communication skills will be key in delivering top-tier therapy services across grade levels.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) required
- Previous school-based OT experience strongly preferred
- Experience managing K–12 caseloads or willingness to support students of all ages
- Excellent communication, time management, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently at multiple school locations as needed
- Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain before start date)
- COTAs not being considered at this time
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group OT services to elementary and high school students
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to develop and implement IEPs
- Conduct student assessments and document progress in accordance with district and federal standards
- Adapt strategies and interventions to meet diverse needs within K–12 settings
- Support students in building skills that enable greater participation in their school environments
