Occupational Therapist School Setting in Des Plaines, IL

Qualifications:
- Active clinical license from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Valid Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) educator license
- Previous experience in a school-based OT role is strongly preferred
- Strong ability to adapt and manage a flexible, itinerant schedule
- Fingerprinting required as part of credentialing
- Excellent communication, rapport-building, and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to students at multiple school sites within the district (elementary, middle, and high schools)
- Assess student needs, develop individualized goals, and document progress
- Collaborate with teachers, aides, and support staff to integrate therapeutic interventions into daily routines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
- Manage a dynamic caseload and adapt services to meet diverse student needs
- Communicate regularly with families and faculty to support student achievement
