School Occupational Therapist - Des Plaines, Illinois

Make a meaningful impact supporting students across a dynamic school district in the greater Des Plaines area. This full-time, contract opportunity seeks three passionate Occupational Therapists to deliver essential therapy services on-site. You’ll work collaboratively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams, circulating between multiple campuses and providing care to students from Pre-K through transition age (up to 22). The variety of assignments lets you engage with diverse age groups and educational settings, allowing for ongoing professional growth and new challenges every day.
Qualifications:
- Valid clinical license from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Active Educator License from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)
- School-based Occupational Therapy experience strongly preferred
- Ability to work full-time, itinerant schedule across several school sites
- Willingness to complete required fingerprinting and credentialing before start
Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based evaluations, interventions, and progress monitoring for students with a range of needs
- Support students’ participation in academic, social, and functional activities tailored to their age and abilities
- Consult and collaborate with classroom staff, special education teams, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Document in compliance with district and state regulatory standards
- Adapt service delivery per varying schedules at assigned elementary, middle, and high school campuses
