You’ll work onsite and virtually, providing vital services that nurture students’ independence, motor skills, and readiness for academic success. With experience across school-based practice, healthcare, and teletherapy, your skillset will empower students at all levels.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist license, eligible for Michigan practice
- Proven background in school-based, healthcare, home health, or teletherapy OT settings
- Strong skillset in fine and gross motor development, assessment, and intervention planning
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and school staff
- Comfortable managing caseloads, documentation, and adapting to multiple service delivery models
- Expertise developing individualized education and therapy plans
- Ability to facilitate both in-person and virtual therapy sessions
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive OT evaluation and therapy services to K-12 students
- Develop and execute Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
- Collaborate closely with teachers, counselors, and families to support student success
- Build students’ fine and gross motor abilities through tailored, engaging interventions
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in team meetings
- Adapt interventions for both home-based and school environments, including teletherapy platforms
