Bilingual Occupational Therapist School Setting in Detroit, MI

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Occupational Therapist license in Michigan
- Fluency in English and another language
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric environment
- Strong understanding of IEP process, documentation, and goal writing
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and cultural competency skills
- Ability to assess, plan, and implement therapy services within a school community
- Adaptable and comfortable working independently or as part of a team
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy and comprehensive OT assessments for students on your caseload
- Develop and track individualized treatment plans in accordance with IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure student success
- Maintain accurate records and progress notes
- Support students in achieving independence in classroom activities and daily living skills
- Offer culturally relevant, bilingual interventions to meet the diverse needs of students
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team discussions as needed
