School Occupational Therapist | Dorchester, Massachusetts

Bring your occupational therapy expertise to a dynamic contract position supporting K-12 students in an engaging and collaborative educational setting. This opportunity offers full-time hours (32.5 hours per week) and runs from ASAP through June 17th, 2027. Based near Dorchester, MA, you’ll work across multiple grade levels, making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and adolescents.
Key Qualifications:
- Current and active Massachusetts Occupational Therapy License required
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric therapy setting strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of OT best practices for school-aged children (K-12)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with educators, parents, and other support staff
- Ability to develop and implement individualized and group therapy plans to address students' unique needs
- Reliable, flexible, and committed to fostering a supportive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify students’ occupational therapy needs
- Develop, implement, and track individualized plans (IEPs), including direct and consultative services
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support student progress and inclusion in classroom activities
- Maintain detailed documentation and comply with all state and federal regulations
- Adapt interventions based on assessment results and ongoing student response
- Participate in team meetings and contribute recommendations for student success
