Occupational Therapist School Setting in Doylestown, PA

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students and making a positive impact on their daily lives. This role offers the chance to start part-time (1-2 days per week) as soon as possible, with hours increasing to full-time (Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM) when a staff member goes on maternity leave in October 2026. The assignment runs through January 2027, allowing for continuity of care during a pivotal period.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience in school-based, home health, healthcare, or teletherapy OT settings
- Familiarity with elementary through high school students and a variety of developmental and pre-vocational needs
- Strong documentation skills, including the ability to follow and implement IEPs
- Effective communication with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Adaptability to changing caseloads and ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct OT services to a diverse caseload of students, currently 21 and expected to increase
- Address a wide range of student goals: self-care (buttoning, zippering), life skills, pre-vocational tasks, handwriting, cutting, shoe tying, and personal hygiene
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers and support staff
- Conduct assessments and document progress toward short- and long-term goals using organized note sheets and established schedules
- Support ongoing caseload shifts as new IEPs are developed
