Key Qualifications:
- Valid and active Occupational Therapy license issued by the state of Louisiana
- Previous experience delivering OT support in educational settings preferred
- Strong understanding of school-based OT assessment and intervention strategies
- Capacity and willingness to supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs)
- Adaptability to manage a multi-site schedule and respond to diverse student needs
- Excellent communication, organizational, and record-keeping skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services for students across Castor HS, Gibsland HS, Arcadia HS, and Crawford Elementary
- Conduct individualized assessments and participate in IEP meetings as required
- Develop, implement, and monitor evidence-based treatment plans and goals
- Supervise and collaborate with COTAs to ensure high standards of care
- Maintain documentation in compliance with school and state regulations
- Communicate progress and treatment recommendations to educators and families
- Coordinate with teachers and special education teams to facilitate accessible learning environments
