Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
- Active state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Prior experience working in educational or pediatric settings strongly preferred
- Ability to adapt therapy plans to accommodate diverse student needs and IEP requirements
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers, staff, and families
- Flexibility, creativity, and a commitment to inclusive, student-centered care
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess students’ functional abilities within the school environment
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans aligned with academic goals
- Collaborate with special education teams to ensure OT services meet IEP objectives
- Facilitate activities that promote fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living skills
- Maintain detailed documentation and accurate case notes in compliance with state and district regulations
- Provide professional guidance and in-service training for educational staff as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings, assessments, and review of student progress
