Make a meaningful impact by supporting students’ growth and development as a contract Occupational Therapist on a part-time basis. This opportunity focuses on providing essential occupational therapy services to school-aged children, fostering their participation and success in academic and social settings for two days per week.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid OT licensure or eligibility to practice as an OT within the state
- Experience working with school-aged children or in educational settings
- Strong understanding of IEP processes, sensory integration, and therapeutic interventions
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to adapt interventions to varied student needs and learning environments
- Collaborative, flexible, and committed to supporting diverse learners
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and participate in multi-disciplinary evaluations to determine student needs
- Develop, implement, and review individualized treatment plans and goals
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services in accordance with IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to support student progress and access to the curriculum
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation and progress notes
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing to the development of supportive environments
- Provide strategies and training to school staff and caregivers for student success
