School Occupational Therapist | El Dorado Hills, California
Make a meaningful impact supporting students across K-12 as a contract Occupational Therapist. This fully onsite, full-time, full school year opportunity serves a moderate to severe caseload in a dynamic, collaborative educational environment. You’ll provide both direct and consultative services, conduct comprehensive assessments, and play an active role in the IEP process.
In this itinerant role, your expertise ensures students access the strategies and supports they need to succeed. Previous California schools experience is a plus, allowing you to confidently navigate the unique demands of the setting and build relationships with educators and families alike.
Key qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist license in California
- Experience working with K-12 student populations
- Familiarity with direct intervention and consultative services
- Strong skills in conducting OT assessments and contributing to IEP meetings
- Previous experience in California school settings highly valued
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
Duties will include:
- Providing direct OT services to students with moderate to severe needs
- Consulting with school teams and families to develop accommodations and supports
- Performing comprehensive OT assessments and documenting findings
- Actively participating in IEP meetings and contributing to individualized education plans
- Collaborating across multiple school sites as part of an itinerant schedule
- Ensuring all services and documentation comply with district and state guidelines
