Enhance students’ daily living and academic skills as a dedicated Occupational Therapist supporting multiple schools within a dynamic district near Elgin, IL. This contract opportunity runs from ASAP to June 9, 2027, with full-time hours (35–37.5 per week). You’ll collaborate with educators and families, delivering therapy onsite at elementary, middle, and high schools. Schedules will vary depending on site assignments, and your caseload will span students from Pre-K through age 22, adapting services to diverse developmental needs.
Qualifications:
- Current clinical license from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Active educator license issued by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)
- Previous experience in a school-based setting is highly preferred
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- Willingness to complete time-sensitive credentialing requirements, including fingerprinting
- Adaptability to work a flexible schedule across multiple school sites
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine student needs and develop individualized intervention plans
- Provide therapeutic services and support for students ranging from early childhood to transition-age
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to integrate occupational therapy goals within classroom routines
- Document evaluations, treatment progress, and outcomes in alignment with school and state guidelines
- Travel between school locations as part of a district-wide itinerant team
