This is a contract to hire opportunity that offers full-time hours, working five days per week with a focus on collaboration, growth, and clinical excellence in both in-person and teletherapy settings.
Skills and Experience Needed:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy
- Active Illinois OT license
- Experience supporting students K-12 in school settings; additional background in home health, healthcare, or teletherapy a plus
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with teachers, staff, and families
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to individual student needs and various service delivery models
- Commitment to fostering student independence and success in educational environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to a varied student caseload, supporting educational and developmental goals
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop IEP goals, and document progress
- Provide direct interventions as well as consult with teachers and parents to create effective strategies
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic student support
- Utilize technology for teletherapy delivery when needed
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with state and district guidelines
