Key Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapy license valid for California.
- National certification as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience or strong interest in working with elementary school-aged children.
- Ability to effectively manage a varied caseload across multiple school sites.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to supporting students’ academic, social, and developmental success.
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students as outlined in Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students’ needs and progress.
- Develop personalized therapy plans and implement evidence-based interventions.
- Consult and collaboratively problem-solve with teachers, parents, and other school staff.
- Maintain accurate records of progress, therapy sessions, and documentation required by the district.
- Travel between assigned elementary schools as required to support student needs.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on student goals and accommodations.
