Qualifications and Desired Background:
- Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist or COTA
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP documentation and related compliance
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Compassion, patience, and a genuine interest in supporting children’s success
- For COTAs: Availability of OT supervision can be arranged
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students per IEPs
- Evaluate students to assess needs and recommend interventions
- Develop, implement, and track progress on individualized therapy goals
- Work closely with teachers, staff, and families to support student engagement and achievement
- Maintain thorough records and participate in IEP meetings as required
- Travel between school sites nearby if combining contracts for additional hours
