Seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to support students in a dynamic, K-12 educational environment. This contract opportunity offers a rewarding role working with a variety of students across two campuses, providing tailored interventions to help them succeed academically and personally. You’ll collaborate closely with a team of educators and specialists, addressing diverse needs ranging from emotional disturbances to learning disabilities.
Qualifications:
- Active Connecticut Occupational Therapist license required
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Proven ability to manage a caseload of 15-35 students
- Comfortable supporting students with a range of disabilities, including ED, ASD, ADHD, ODD, and LD
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers and support staff
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive atmosphere for students
Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to K-12 students across both campuses
- Assess students’ needs and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver evidence-based interventions addressing fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skills
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and progress reviews
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, families, and other specialists to support student goals
- Adapt therapy strategies as needed to meet changing caseload demands
You’ll play a vital role in helping each student unlock their full potential, working in an environment that values innovation and collaboration. The assignment extends through June 7, 2027, ensuring ongoing impact and professional growth.
