In this school-based Occupational Therapy role, you’ll collaborate closely with staff and families to create individualized interventions. This assignment runs from October 14, 2026, to approximately January 29, 2027, working up to 37.5 hours per week across campuses with assigned caseloads that will be determined upon placement. Expect to provide vital services to students from early elementary through secondary age groups.
Qualifications and experience sought:
- Active Occupational Therapist license for the state of Missouri (MO OT license required)
- Experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP documentation and special education processes
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Ready and able to meet the district’s credentialing requirements, including fingerprinting (with TCN submission) and technology agreement completion
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting assessments, developing and implementing individualized therapy plans
- Supporting students’ functional and academic success within special education and general education environments
- Documenting progress and collaborating with teachers and staff to optimize student outcomes
- Engaging with families to support carryover strategies outside of school
