This role offers the chance to provide direct and indirect OT services across multiple school sites, collaborating with faculty and multidisciplinary teams to enrich student learning and growth. With dedicated administrative time, a supportive IEP system (with training provided), and the opportunity to develop creative, child-centered interventions, you’ll play an important part in helping students reach their fullest potential.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist in California (active CA OT license required)
- Previous school-based OT experience highly preferred
- Candidates must not be in their Clinical Fellowship year; applicants in a Clinical Fellowship year will not be considered
- Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs
- Strong organization and time management skills for itinerant and multi-site coverage
- Comfortable working independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve multiple school campuses, delivering occupational therapy for a full-time schedule (7:30 am–4:00 pm, M–F with a 30 minute unpaid lunch)
- Assess students, develop treatment plans, and provide both direct and consultative therapy services
- Participate in IEP meetings and student evaluations; maintain thorough documentation in the school’s IEP platform
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support educational goals
- Utilize paid administrative time for planning, team meetings, and documentation
