Occupational Therapist School Setting in Fontana, CA

This full-time, full-school-year assignment involves direct service and assessments across multiple school sites, providing essential support to students with a range of mild to severe disabilities.
Ideal candidates thrive independently, effectively manage a fluctuating caseload (70-80 students), and possess a strong track record of using assessment data to collaborate on student services and address parent concerns. Experience within California school systems and familiarity with administering the BOT 3 and Peabody assessments to diverse learners is essential.
Qualifications:
- Active California Occupational Therapy license required
- Previous California schools experience required
- Comfort administering BOT-3 and Peabody assessments for ages 3-22 with multiple disabilities
- Strong ability to interpret data and communicate recommendations to support services
- Capable of independently building schedules in response to district needs
- Experience working with both mild and severe caseloads, K-12 and adult transition students
- Itinerant flexibility: able to travel across six school sites
- Bilingual Spanish skills are highly desirable but not mandatory
- Must work autonomously without supervision; OTA candidates will not be considered
Responsibilities:
- Complete comprehensive OT evaluations and consultations for a varying caseload
- Provide direct and consultative OT services to students
- Maintain documentation and reporting aligned with school and legal standards
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary educational teams and participate in IEP meetings
- Create, implement, and adjust schedules to meet evolving district needs
