Occupational Therapist School Setting in Fontana, CA
Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students’ development and success as an Occupational Therapist for the upcoming 26/27 school year. Work full-time, 40 hours per week, onsite at multiple school sites serving a diverse K-12 caseload. Candidates will provide essential therapy services in an educational setting, making a significant difference in the lives of children across various campuses.
Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapy license in California
- Prior experience working in a school setting is required
- Comfort working across multiple sites with different age groups (K-12)
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with educational teams, students, and families
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet individual student needs in a school environment
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs
- Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to guide intervention planning
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support student participation and success
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Adapt strategies and accommodations to help students achieve their goals and maximize access to curriculum
- Travel between various school locations as assigned
