Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license for Texas
- Prior experience working in school settings, preferably K-12
- Strong background in fine and gross motor skill development
- Capability to deliver individualized (1:1) pediatric therapy
- Knowledge of educational compliance, documentation, and goal planning
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy to K-12 students, addressing fine and gross motor skill needs
- Evaluate, plan, and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to integrate therapy into students’ school environments
- Maintain thorough, accurate documentation per school requirements and state regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings, sharing insights and progress to guide student support teams
- Adapt strategies as needed to help each student achieve educational goals
