Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience working in pediatric, elementary, and/or middle school settings
- Strong knowledge of fine and gross motor skill development
- Ability to design and implement individualized interventions for children, including those in early childhood and grades K-5
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with teachers, administrators, and parents
- Compassion for nurturing students with a wide range of abilities and needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students across Pre K, elementary, and middle school levels
- Evaluate students’ motor skills and develop goal-oriented, measurable treatment plans
- Support the development of self-care, sensory processing, and classroom participation
- Document interventions, progress, and recommendations in compliance with educational standards
- Serve as a resource for IEP teams, contributing to meetings and student planning
- Educate faculty and family members on strategies to promote students’ success in both academic and daily activities
