Occupational Therapist School Setting in Frostproof, FL
Exciting opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist interested in working with K-12 students for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time, onsite contract position provides the chance to impact students’ lives and support their growth in a dynamic, educational environment. Located in vibrant Sebring, Florida, you’ll collaborate with teachers, families, and administrators to facilitate student success and functional independence across school settings.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active, or eligibility for, Occupational Therapy licensure in Florida
- School-based experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of assessment tools and intervention strategies specific to K-12 populations
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to develop and implement student-centered treatment plans
- Experience documenting services and progress per regulatory standards
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized therapy plans for K-12 students
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services onsite
- Support students’ participation in classroom activities and daily routines
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to promote functional skills
- Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress notes, and service summaries
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and other required school team meetings
- Provide recommendations for adaptive equipment and environmental modifications as needed
- Engage in ongoing communication with school personnel regarding student progress
