Make an immediate impact in the lives of students as a school-based Occupational Therapist serving multiple classroom sites in a supportive educational community. This contract opportunity offers a consistent full-time schedule, traveling between local schools to address the needs of a diverse caseload. The hours are 8:00 AM to 3:45 PM, Monday through Friday. As part of this assignment, compensation is provided for your expertise, along with comprehensive mileage reimbursement for travel between locations.
What You'll Bring:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license and relevant credentials for school-based practice
- Previous experience working with school-aged children, especially those with moderate cognitive impairments or Autism, preferred
- Comfort managing a caseload spanning preschool through middle school (Preschool – Grade 8)
- Excellent communication and documentation skills, with adaptability in using digital systems (training provided)
- Collaborative spirit and commitment to interdisciplinary teamwork
Daily Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized OT services to approximately 49 students, adjusting as needed over the summer
- Provide interventions and support in resource rooms, Regional Moderate Cognitive Impairment programs, and Early Childhood Special Education settings
- Assess student needs and design individualized goals to promote independence in academic and daily activities
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in Medicaid billing using EdPlan software
- Engage actively with educators and other specialists to foster holistic student development
- Participate in full orientation and ongoing professional support
