Occupational Therapist School Setting in Genesee, ID

Make a real impact by supporting students as an Occupational Therapist providing on-site services in a school setting near Genesee, ID. This contract role offers the unique opportunity to supplement the school’s virtual OT support, after a parent request for in-person care for their child. With a schedule of one day each week (8 hours), you’ll collaborate with school staff and families to deliver targeted interventions that help students reach their fullest potential.
Qualifications:
- Active Idaho Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
- Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and support staff
- Familiarity with educational documentation and goal-setting for IEPs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct on-site occupational therapy assessments and interventions to assigned students
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on students’ unique needs
- Coordinate with the school’s existing virtual OT to ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain thorough and accurate records, including IEP documentation and progress reports
- Communicate regularly with teachers, administrators, and families regarding therapy goals and student progress
