Scheduled to cover an upcoming maternity leave from December 13, 2026, through June 12, 2027, this position allows you to make a meaningful contribution for half of the academic year—engaging with students, faculty, and families in a school community located near Gilroy, CA. While the exact caseload and day-to-day responsibilities are forthcoming, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring students receive continuous and effective occupational therapy services during this transition period.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid California Occupational Therapy (OT) license
- Experience in school-based occupational therapy settings
- Familiarity with teletherapy, home health, and healthcare-related OT practices a plus
- Adaptable, proactive, and comfortable navigating varied school environments
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students as assigned
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and district policies
- Adjust techniques and interventions as needed, ensuring all students receive appropriate support
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise on student needs
