Key Qualifications:
- Current and active Louisiana Occupational Therapy (OT) license required
- Previous experience in school-based OT settings strongly preferred
- Comfortable providing services at four different sites, including both high school and elementary levels
- Willingness and ability to supervise a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) as needed
- Strong organizational and communication skills to support collaboration across various teams and campuses
- Adaptable and flexible approach, able to manage a diverse caseload and travel between sites
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, student-centered OT interventions for children across Castor High School, Gibsland High School, Arcadia High School, and Crawford Elementary
- Assess, develop, and implement individualized therapy plans to meet students’ unique needs and educational goals
- Collaborate with educational professionals, teachers, administrators, and families to support student success
- Maintain accurate documentation and prepare regular progress reports in line with school and state guidelines
- Supervise and mentor a COTA, ensuring compliance with best practices and licensure standards
- Foster a positive, supportive environment that encourages growth and engagement among students
