Key Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Louisiana
- Experience providing OT services within a school environment is highly preferred
- Comfort with traveling between multiple school sites
- Willingness and capability to supervise a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive OT services in a school setting, including assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring for students on your caseload
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to support individual student goals
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
- Supervise and mentor a COTA, providing guidance and oversight as needed
- Consult with educational teams to help modify classroom activities and environments to foster student success
- Stay current on best practices in pediatric and school-based occupational therapy
