Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Michigan occupational therapist license (required)
- Prior experience in a school-based setting is preferred
- Skill working with students from elementary through high school
- Strong collaborative spirit and a commitment to teamwork
- Exceptional communication and documentation capabilities
- Understanding of IEP processes and familiarity with integrating therapeutic strategies into classroom environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ fine motor, sensory, and functional abilities in accordance with educational needs
- Develop and implement tailored intervention plans
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to promote students’ independence
- Contribute to the development and review of IEPs
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of services delivered and student progress
- Provide consultative and direct occupational therapy services within a supportive, multidisciplinary team
