This full-time, onsite contract opportunity covers the 2026 academic year, supporting young learners at a supportive New Orleans school. You’ll work collaboratively in a shared office space alongside a Physical Therapist and Adaptive Physical Education professional, with additional help from a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant one day each week.
Qualifications:
- Holds current and valid OT licensure
- Experience or training working with school-aged children, preferably in PreK-8th grade environments
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective interaction with students, staff, and families
- Adaptability and positive attitude towards working in a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to delivering therapy tailored to diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in PreK-8
- Evaluate, develop, and implement individual therapy plans
- Collaborate closely with educators, PTs, and related service staff for comprehensive student support
- Document progress and maintain accurate records for compliance
- Participate in team meetings, IEP processes, and consult with classroom staff as needed
