Occupational Therapist School Setting in Gretna, LA

An exciting contract opportunity is available for a dedicated Occupational Therapist to support students from PreK through 8th grade in a dynamic school setting near Gretna, LA. Work alongside experienced colleagues in a collaborative environment, sharing an office with a PT and Adapted Physical Education specialist, while also benefitting from COTA assistance one day per week. This full-time, onsite position provides the chance to make a meaningful impact on student development throughout the academic year.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current Occupational Therapist (OT) licensure required
- Previous experience working in school-based settings preferred
- Knowledge of therapy practices for diverse student populations, including PreK-8th grade
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Passion for supporting pediatric growth and student achievement
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver therapy services for a PreK-8th grade caseload
- Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and progress reports in compliance with district and state requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student support plans
- Utilize shared resources and consult with a COTA and interdisciplinary colleagues
