Make a difference supporting PreK-8th grade students, working alongside a dynamic interdisciplinary team in a school-based setting. This full-time opportunity spans the academic year, with a contract beginning in August and ending in May. You'll collaborate closely with a PT, APE, and part-time COTA, sharing an office environment designed to enhance inter-professional partnerships. The role is fully onsite, providing hands-on intervention and making an immediate impact on students’ educational experiences.
Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapy license (OT) required
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is highly desirable
- Ability to work collaboratively with PTs, APEs, and COTAs
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Proven organizational and time management abilities
- Enthusiasm for supporting students from PreK through 8th grade in their development
Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to a diverse caseload of elementary and middle school students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to students’ needs
- Collaborate with classroom educators, related services staff, and families to ensure cohesive support
- Complete evaluations, document progress, and attend/participate in IEP meetings
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive atmosphere for students and staff
- Utilize therapy resources and creative interventions to promote growth and independence in daily school routines
