Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
- Current and valid state OT licensure (or eligibility for licensure)
- Previous experience in a school-based OT role strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within interdisciplinary teams
- Proficiency with IEP documentation and goal setting
- Compassion, patience, and adaptability when supporting diverse student populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ needs and develop individualized intervention plans
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services for students in various settings
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to integrate OT strategies into daily routines
- Document student progress and participate in IEP meetings
- Educate teaching staff on accommodations and modifications to support student engagement
- Maintain compliance with state, federal, and district guidelines
