An exciting opportunity is available for a contract Occupational Therapist with a focus on school-based services. This role is conveniently situated near Grove City, OH, providing specialized support to K-8th grade students for the 2026-2027 academic year. The assignment runs from August 19, 2026, through May 21, 2027. You will work two days per week, dedicating a total of 10 hours weekly, with a manageable caseload of 13 students. Your expertise will help empower young learners to achieve their full potential in and out of the classroom.
Qualifications:
- Active Ohio Occupational Therapist (OT) License is required
- Previous experience in a school-based OT setting preferred, but motivated new graduates are welcome
- Solid understanding of IEP processes and documentation
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessments, direct therapy, and consultation services to K-8 students on your caseload
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with educators and families
- Document therapy progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to foster inclusive educational environments
- Adjust interventions and modify strategies to suit individual student needs throughout the academic year
