Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Connecticut (required)
- Proven experience in school-based OT roles or comparable pediatric settings
- Familiarity with IEPs, documentation, and goal-setting within K-12 environments
- Ability to travel between multiple school sites within the district as needed
- Excellent communication skills and adaptability in diverse school settings
What You'll Do:
- Deliver direct therapy services to students at various school locations, collaborating with educators and families
- Complete thorough evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and contribute to IEP meetings
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and state requirements
- Support students in improving fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-regulation, and functional independence
- Consult with teachers and staff to provide strategies and environmental adaptations in the classroom
