Requirements:
- Valid Connecticut Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
- Demonstrated experience in school settings, ideally with previous multi-site support
- Proficient in providing individualized therapy for diverse student populations
- Strong organizational skills to manage caseloads across multiple school locations
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, and families
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Adaptability to travel between sites within the district as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive OT evaluations and direct therapy services as outlined in student IEPs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment strategies tailored to student needs
- Collaborate closely with teachers and support staff to integrate therapy techniques into the classroom environment
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation for all interventions and progress reports
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team decisions
- Provide recommendations for adaptive equipment and modifications within the school setting
- Travel between multiple district schools to meet student needs across locations
