Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current, valid OT licensure in Massachusetts (or eligibility to obtain)
- NBCOT certification required
- Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred
- Familiarity with IEP processes and developing individualized treatment plans
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations for K-8 students
- Develop and implement individualized interventions and goals based on students’ unique needs
- Support students' functional skills related to classroom routines, handwriting, self-care, fine and gross motor development, and sensory processing
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families, contributing expertise during IEP meetings
- Deliver therapy in both individual and group settings, adapting strategies for diverse learning styles
- Offer staff training to promote optimal learning environments
