Key Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist license in California
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Recent experience in a school-based setting highly preferred
- Proficiency in conducting evaluations, writing IEP goals, and delivering individualized therapy
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of current therapy techniques and assistive technology
- Ability to adapt services to diverse student needs and work with various grade levels
Responsibilities:
- Assess students to determine fine motor, sensory processing, and functional skills impacting learning
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on students’ unique needs
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing recommendations and progress updates to the team
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services in both group and one-on-one formats
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to integrate therapy strategies across school environments
- Maintain detailed documentation in line with district, state, and federal requirements
