Occupational Therapist School Setting in Hemet, CA

Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by providing occupational therapy services in a supportive school environment. This onsite opportunity runs through the end of the school year and offers the chance to work collaboratively with two elementary schools, while overseeing a COTA at one of the locations. With approximately 80 students on your caseload, you’ll play an essential role supporting students' growth and success.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in California
- Previous school-based OT experience preferred
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Experience supervising Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) is a plus
- Commitment to working onsite for full contract duration
- Ability to manage a moderate-to-large caseload and deliver high-quality care
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to elementary-aged students
- Assess, evaluate, and develop individualized treatment plans to support student goals
- Coordinate therapy sessions and maintain detailed progress records
- Collaborate closely with educators, families, and other support staff to maximize student outcomes
- Supervise and mentor a COTA, ensuring service delivery aligns with established goals and professional standards
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams as needed
This full-time contract assignment follows a standard school-day schedule (8 hours per day, with an unpaid lunch break), supporting students and staff onsite. You'll work within a friendly atmosphere dedicated to student progress and professional collaboration, building strong relationships and making a positive difference every day.
